Main One Cable Company
Main One Cable is the first submarine cable company offering open access, wholesale broadband capacity in West Africa. Following the successful commencement of its operations in July 2010, Main One engaged the services of Caritas to offer it a high level of brand awareness and visibility which will position it as the broadband service provider of choice. Caritas developed communication strategies which have created top of mind awareness for main One Cable Company and ensured that it is the preferred broadband company in Nigeria and Ghana.

Pan Ocean signed a retainership contract with Caritas to render communication services and develop the Public Affairs talent enabling them to be able to take up the challenges from expansion of operations in the highly regulated and volatile environment of the oil and gas industry. Following satisfactory performance, the Pan Ocean retainership has been extended till December, 2011.
Oil Producers Trade Section (OPTS) of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry
As part of the communication and reputation management consultancy for Oil Producers Trade Section (OPTS) of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Caritas Communications organized a capacity building workshop for energy correspondents. The programme was so successful that the National Association of Energy Correspondents (NAEC) sent letter of appreciation to Caritas.

Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC)
The Federal Road Safety Corps recently commenced the issuance of new world class drivers’ license and vehicle numbering system. To ensure the success of the programme, Caritas Communications was engaged to drive a nationwide awareness campaign. Caritas has so far engaged key media practitioners to ensure the success of the programme.

Vine Capital Partners (VCP)
As the ongoing reform of the Nigerian banking industry enters a critical stage, the five banks which were taken over in 2009 by the Central Bank of Nigeria have been offered for sale to willing investors by the apex financial body. Vine Capital Partners is one of the investment firms already selected by CBN as a core investor. Vine Capital Partners is interested in acquiring Afribank Plc. Against the backdrop of little knowledge of the background of Vine Capital Partners, Caritas Communications was retained to provide the required visibility to the firm as well as ensure that the investment plans are clearly understood by all stakeholders. The project is ongoing.
Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC)
Nigeria’s late President, Alhaji Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, out of recognition of the critical role an efficient rail system plays in driving economic development, included the revitalization of the rail transportation system in the country in his 7-Point Agenda in 2007. This revitalization programme has so far been vigorously pursued by his successor, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan. The project includes rejuvenating the rail tracks and importation of new locomotives. Against this background, NRC was faced with the task of enhancing its near moribund social standing through improved communication as well as building capacity of its staff. Caritas Communications was retained to provide corporate repositioning and public awareness service for the corporation. NRC has so far recorded significant improvement in its public perception.
Seplat Petroleum Development Company
Caritas Communications designed the company’s corporate brand identity which ensured a refreshing brand outlook for the organisation.
Presidential Task Force on Power (PTFP)
Caritas is currently implementing a stakeholder engagement plan for the Presidential Task Force on Power Reforms in Nigeria. The engagements involve holding dialogues and consultative sessions with university students across Nigeria to gain their understanding and support of the ongoing power sector reform.
Project SDB
Caritas Communications was engaged to provide reputation management solutions to Rt. Hon. Dimeji Bankole, Speaker of the House of Representatives. This was against the backdrop of poor reportage of the Speaker in the media as well as a negative perception of him. The consortium developed series of activities aimed at increasing the Speaker’s positive share of voice and enhance his top of the mind awareness (TOMA) in order to leverage his reputation. Within 3 months, we successfully carried out stakeholder management sessions for Hon. Bankole across select universities in the six geo political zones of Nigeria. This helped to improve his perception among the youths.
Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN)
In order to enhance efficiency and productivity of staff, the management of Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria engaged the services of Caritas to organize a Crisis Management and Spokespersons’ Training for its middle-level managers. The two-day intensive training drew participants from the various airports in the country. Caritas developed and executed a curriculum which was customized to suit the cadre of participants as well as the needs of client and the aviation industry in general.
Nextzon Business Services Limited
Nextzon Business Services retained the services of Caritas Communications to develop and implement corporate communications support for its operations. Against the backdrop of satisfactory discharge of client’s brief, Caritas Communications has continued to meet Nextzon’s corporate communications needs since 2009.
TEMPO letterhead logo Tourism, Employment and Opportunities (TEMPO)
World Bank Project TEMPO is a program of the World Bank, Federal Government and International Labour Organization aimed at developing the tourist potentials of Cross River State and create employment for people within the tourism value chain in the area. Agency organized journalists that participated in the familiarization trip; hosted the launch of the Ambassador Program; provided communication support for the program; and profiled some of the companies that operate within the value chain. The campaign was successful as the Ambassador Program launch and profiling hit and surpassed the agreed benchmarks with over 70 media mentions generated
Centrica Resources Nigeria
Centrica Resources Nigeria retained the services of Caritas Communications for a corporate communication and reputation management consultancy ahead of its proposed business refocusing strategy in Nigeria. Centrica was concerned about a negative impact on its reputation by its planned right-sizing. Caritas Communications drafted a reputation management strategy which ensured that Centrica achieved its objectives without a single negative mention in the media.
Schneider Electric
Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management, with solutions for power and control, critical power, energy efficiency, automation and renewable energy, engaged Caritas in February 2011 to implement its communications and reputation management plan. In 2011 alone, Caritas was able to deliver, and surpass the expectations of Schneider vis-à-vis increasing the company’s brand awareness and share of voice in the Nigerian market. Caritas deployed such activities as media coverage of Schneider Electric Nigeria “Energy Day” 2011; the facilitation and coordinated media coverage of Schneider’s Villasol Pilot Project Commissioning in Asore, Ogun State, which recorded over 35 mentions among others.
NEXT
NEXT publishers, Timbuktu Media, retained our services to support the introduction of the new brand to Nigerian market. The 12-month contract entailed our drafting a communication plan which will engender the brand in the minds of the Nigerian populace. Today, NEXT has achieved a credibility status that took other newspapers years to build.
Petroleum Geo Services (PGS)
Petroleum Geo Services moved from their corporate head office to a bigger and more befitting office. PGS sought our media support to announce the opening ceremony and create a media-friendly brand out of PGS. We delivered on the objectives of the launch event as it was well-received in the media thus creating high level of brand visibility for PGS.
